Over the past several months, I’ve been speaking with business owners, leaders, and community professionals about the challenges they are facing.
Those conversations led to the Bryan Anderson Business & Community Insights Initiative—an effort to listen, identify common themes, and share what leaders are experiencing.
The Q3 2026 survey is now underway.
What We’re Hearing So Far
The first response came from a small business owner, whose primary concern was straightforward:
Finding prospects.
When asked what is having the greatest impact on the organization, the respondent identified:
Growing the business
When asked what one problem they would solve in the next 90 days, the answer was even more specific:
“Figure out how to auto-scrape Google Maps for prospects.”
An Early Theme: Finding the Right Opportunities
While one response is far too small a sample to establish a trend, it does highlight an issue that many businesses face:
Finding potential customers is one thing. Finding the right potential customers—and doing it efficiently—is another.
Business owners are often expected to grow while simultaneously managing operations, customers, employees, technology, costs, and everything else that comes with running an organization.
The question isn't simply:
“How do I get more leads?”
It may be:
“How do I identify the right opportunities without spending all my time looking for them?”
That is exactly the kind of question this Initiative is intended to explore.
This Is Only the Beginning
The goal of the Bryan Anderson Business & Community Insights Initiative is not to sell a product or service.
It is to listen.
As additional responses come in, I’ll be looking for recurring themes across:
- Business growth
- Operational efficiency
- Employee recruitment and retention
- Customer experience
- Costs and profitability
- Technology and systems
- Communication and accountability
- Compliance and regulatory challenges
- The issues leaders believe need to be solved most urgently
Once enough responses have been collected, I’ll publish a broader summary of the findings.
Want to Add Your Perspective?
The survey takes approximately 3 minutes to complete.
If you're a business owner, executive, operations leader, HOA/condo board member, or community leader, I'd appreciate your perspective.
The goal is simple: listen first, learn what is really happening, and share what we discover.
More responses. Better insights. A clearer picture of what leaders are facing.
