Escalation Logic Framework

Overview
A structured decision model for determining when, how, and why operational issues should be escalated within intake systems.

Purpose

Without structured escalation logic, teams either:
  • over-escalate (system overload), or
  • under-escalate (missed revenue or service failures)

Escalation Levels

Level 1: Frontline Resolution
  • standard objections
  • routine intake questions
  • basic clarification needs

Level 2: Supervisor Intervention
  • conversion hesitation
  • edge-case qualification
  • client experience risk

Level 3: Leadership Escalation
  • policy exceptions
  • high-value cases
  • systemic breakdown patterns

Core Principle

Escalation should be a system, not a reaction.

Application

Used to:
  • prevent decision bottlenecks
  • standardize exception handling
  • reduce operational ambiguity
  • improve response consistency
